This margarita martini is a bold twist on the classic: crisp cucumber, a hint of jalapeño heat, fresh lime, smooth tequila, and Cointreau come together in perfect balance. Rimmed with Tajín and lightly sweetened with Tom’s margarita mix, it’s refreshing, vibrant, and endlessly sippable—perfect for warm evenings or any celebration.
Ingredients: (per cocktail)
2 ounce good quality tequila (blanco works best)
½ - 3/4-ounce Cointreau
1 oz fresh lime juice (about 1 ½ large limes)
1/2 of a cucumber, muddled for juice
1 small slice jalapeño (adjust for spice)
1 ½ ounces Tommy’s margarita mix, or other sweet & sour mix (or just a splash for sweetness)
½ ounce grand marnier (optional for caddy-lac)
Tajín (for rimming the glass)
Ice
Directions:
Prepare the glass: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a martini glass and dip in Tajín. Set aside.
Muddle flavors: In a shaker, gently muddle the cucumber and jalapeño to release their juices and aroma. Be careful not to over-muddle the jalapeño if you prefer mild spice.
Add liquids: Add tequila, Cointreau, lime juice, Tommy’s margarita mix, and Grand Marnier (if using) to the shaker. Fill with ice.
Shake: Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled.
Strain: Double-strain into the Tajín-rimmed martini glass to remove solids from the cucumber and jalapeño.
Garnish (optional): Add a thin cucumber ribbon or a small lime wheel for visual flair. Serve immediately.
