Retro Cocktail ~ Eastside Martini

  • May 27
  • 1 min read

The Eastside Martini is what happens when a classic gin cocktail slips into something a little greener, cooler, and far more flirtatious. Bright lime, crisp cucumber, and fresh mint give this cocktail a garden-party elegance — like a martini that spent the weekend at a chic boutique hotel spa.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces gin (Hendrick’s is ideal) – vodka can easily be substituted if you don’t care for gin! I recommend citron!

  • 1 – 1 ½  ounces fresh lime juice

  • ½ ounces simple syrup (or to taste)

  • ¼ cup cucumber slices

  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves

  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle:

    • cucumber

    • mint

    • simple syrup

  2. Add:

    • gin

    • lime juice

    • ice

  3. Shake vigorously until frosty cold.

  4. Double strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass.

  5. Garnish with:

    • thin cucumber ribbon

    • mint sprig

    • lime twist

Cool, crisp, and impossibly refreshing — it’s basically a martini with excellent taste in summer vacations.
